Babette Robinson has a rotten track record where commitment is concerned:  relationships, jobs, hair color, you name it.  But she has discovered that she has a real knack for reading people’s body language and helping them with their relationships.  She decides to start a match-mending business in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama and soon becomes known as “The Love Doctor.”  With her business booming, Babette becomes a local celebrity and eventually catches the attention of socialite Kitty Carelle.  Kitty hires the Birmingham “Love Doctor” to repair her broken engagement to Jeff Eubanks, who just happens to be Babette’s ex-lover!

Babette and Jeff’s relationship was heavy on chemistry, but when she couldn’t commit to a long-term, serious relationship, they called it quits.  Now that Kitty has left Jeff right before their wedding, he’s more convinced than ever that women are incapable of commitment.  But Babette is determined to show Jeff that she has finally committed to something—her business.  Kitty pays Babette triple her normal fee and sends Babette to Destin, Florida—Jeff’s home—so Babette can work her match-mending magic on him and persuade him to take Kitty back.  Even though Jeff has no intention of renewing his relationship with Kitty, he tells Babette that he will meet with Kitty under one condition:  Babette must refrain from flirting for an entire week!  And Jeff intends to watch her every move and make a few moves of his own.  After a week of her very sexy ex-lover doing his utmost to tempt her, Babette is not sure she can resist him….or wants to.  But if she gives into her feelings for Jeff, she’ll prove him right about women’s lack of commitment and lose her reputation as “The Love Doctor” in the process.  Having Jeff back in her life just may be worth the risk.

Flirting With Temptation
is a fun, sexy contemporary romance.  Babette and Jeff definitely heat up the pages, but they both show their vulnerability as they relearn their relationship and take the path toward commitment.  There are plenty of poignant moments, but lots of humor as well.  Ms. St. John has given her readers a truly likable hero and heroine and a captivating cast of secondary characters as well.  There is a lovely, heartwarming secondary story line about Babette’s Granny Gert and her search for love after years as a widow.

Flirting With Temptation
is the perfect read for a sunny spring day.  So grab a copy, a cool drink, and kick back in a lounge chair in the sunshine….and ENJOY!

Gannon, this sure sounds like a fun read. I’ve not read any of her books, so maybe I’ll give this one a try!

Gannon , thanks so much for the review. I’m reading a lot of contemporaries lately but haven’t had a chance to read this one.

Thanks, ladies! I think you’ll enjoy this one. I met Kelley in Birmingham at the Southern Magic Readers Luncheon back in the fall (Christina was the guest speaker) and when she found out I reviewed books for RNTV, she gave me her last ARC. She’s a delightful lady!
