My keeper shelf is reserved for books which I know I’ll read again. So with characters that immediately jumped out and grabbed my attention and a plot that held my interest, I have to say, Lori Foster’s new release When You Dare, is a welcome addition to my romantic suspense keeper shelf. The Sweet Series by Maya Banks is a very hot, erotic, and romantic series. In addition to all the romance and sex, this series is character driven and moves the action along in exciting ways. Each book has a great blend of hot sex, great romance, exciting action and a sense of long lasting and endearing friendship between the characters. And when you’ve been reading a series and waited a long time for a particular character’s book, you’re always excited and curious about what journey the author will take them on. Into the Night is Janelle Denison’s latest romantic suspense and the first book in her new series The Reliance Group (TRG).  It’s been a while since I’ve read a Janelle Denison book, but I loved her Wilde Series so I was really looking forward to reading her latest release. I’m glad I did because Ms. Denison always delivers when it comes to the chemistry between the protagonists and she never fails to introduce me to characters that are driven, intelligent and have a heart.  So when Nicole Hunter and Nathan Fox first meet at a speed dating party the banter between them not only sets up the relationship but immediately draws you into their world and the energy between them. You know when you see a Kate Spade handbag – it has a definite look.  And you know when you’re reading a Suzanne Brockmann book – it has a definite style.  As an author she has a unique and singular style that is both riveting and immediate; her signature is one of action, drama, romance and suspense. Ms. Brockmann knows how to deliver the suspense but she also knows how to deliver the emotional motivations that drive her characters, and once again she gives us a book that weaves together several different stories with exciting and unexpected twists and turns. I’m a lover of contemporary romantic suspense. Give me a Navy SEAL, Texas Ranger, FBI Agent, or any secret government elite undercover operative as the hero; add a strong heroine who might also be a top notch spy, or CIA agent; throw in the possibility of terrorist activities, a serial killer, a stalker, or just a good old fashioned high octane chase, and I’m going to be reading that book.
