Romance writers will be converging on NYC en masse next week for the annual Romance Writers of America Convention. Marisa and I would like to extend our welcome by offering seven sites to see that can fit any mood or budget.
Contrary to popular belief NYC doesn’t just comprise the island of Manhattan, it is in fact made up of five boroughs; Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Staten Island – each with its own unique flavor and all within a bus, train or ferry ride away.

When I viewed the book trailer for ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” I was interested, surprised, afraid and most of all curious; curious enough to buy the book. See for yourself why I think this is one of the best book trailers out there, I can only hope the book lives up to the preview. 
What is it about The Hunger Games trilogy that has every one so fascinated they’re even making a movie about it? When it comes to reading this trilogy, I was late to the party. The film had already been cast and people had been buzzing about the books for…oh, uh forever. 
This contemporary romance is filled with charm, wit, sophistication, and is anything but predictable. The story flows from one point to the next, making what would typically be an unbelievable situation very realistic. The author includes a cast of characters from the Kowalski side who were introduced in the first two books of the series Exclusively Yours and Undeniably Yours . The reader is quickly brought up to speed on who is who and given insight into this genuinely endearing family with personalities that are so finely crafted you’ve soon got three dimensional characters dancing off the page entertaining you with what I like to call a ‘”romantic comedy movie in your mind” 
It doesn’t matter whether they meet across a crowded room or deep in the swamps of the Louisiana Bayou, when a man looks at a woman and growls the word “MINE” you automatically know you’re in the land of paranormal romance. And an author walks a fine line when she has her hero use it. It can be an earth shattering sigh worthy moment for a reader or it can be inexcusably corny. So how does an author go from making us gag to making us swoon? 
After reading Ms. Putney’s Nowhere Near Respectable, I realize it doesn’t matter whether the action involves an AK-47 strapped on the back of a CIA operative or a revolver pulled from a reticule, romantic suspense, in any era, if done right, is exciting.
