This is the time of year when I start looking for new romances to add to my summer reading bag – those books that accompany me to the beach, the pool or the blanket in the back yard.  I want books that are fast and fun, with likeable characters, entertaining storylines and plenty of laughs – books like How to Score.

Sammi Matthews needs a life makeover.  The good-hearted museum curator just doesn’t have it in her to say “no”, which is how she ended up with an oversized, rambunctious dog with a tanned leather fetish and a job with no responsibilities since the woman she was hired to replace changed her mind about retiring.  There’s the cute art deco house she’s sunk hundreds…

Anyone who talks to me for more than five minutes knows how much I love animals and anyone who visits RNTV knows how much I love romance.  Both of my dogs came to me from shelters and many of my favorite books feature dogs, cats or other animals that play pivotal roles in the lives of their humans.   When I heard that Lori Foster had gathered ten romance authors together to write an anthology featuring animals in each story I was ready to order a copy on the spot.  Then I heard the rest of the story and thought why stop at one copy?  All proceeds from the sales of Tails of Love will benefit the Animal Adoption Foundation (AAF), a no-kill animal shelter in Hamilton, Ohio.    Each…

I strongly encourage you to make sure your fire extinguisher is in good working order before you start reading Under Fire because this book isn’t just hot, it’s smokin’!

With the second book in her Firefighters of Station 5 series, Jo Davis brings us the story of Zack Knight, a brilliant, gorgeous, hard-bodied, virginal firefighter.  Yes, you read that right.  Zack is a virgin.  Growing up as a motherless, chubby geek, Zack was subjected to constant taunting from school bullies and indifference from his self-absorbed father.
Socially awkward and unattractive, he was rejected at every turn until he joined the fire department and evolved into the hunk he is today.  Now women throw themselves at him but Zack decided early on that he…

In Sea Witch (Children of the Sea, Book 1 – Caleb Hunter’s story), Kantra built a fascinating paranormal world where the mortal children of the earth (humans), immortal children of the sea (selkies) and immortal children of the fire (demons) maintain a precarious balance. That balance was threatened when the demons began murdering humans on World’s End, a small island off the coast of Maine. In Sea Fever (Children of the Sea, Book 2 – Dylan Hunter’s story), we learned of a prophecy that says a daughter of Atargatis (the selkie mother of the Hunter siblings) will permanently change that balance of power, a prophecy the demons from Hell will do anything to keep from being fulfilled. In Kantra’s new release, Sea Lord (Children of the Sea, Book…

I’m sitting here shaking my head and trying to figure out how this talented author of seven books and 2007 RITA award winner could have escaped the notice of this self-admitted romantic suspense junkie.  Whatever the reason, after reading Solomon’s upcoming release you can bet I won’t be missing any future books!  ONE DEADLY SIN is a story filled with deadly secrets, snappy dialogue, steamy sex, heart-stopping suspense and enough twists and turns to keep me glued to the edge of my seat and devouring every word of this terrific thriller.

She came at night, creeping into town like a shade.  Darkness suited her.  It evoked the past, that black hole of fury and mystery.  Recapturing it required dark arts…

Hello, Daddy.  She traced the rest of…

Though a Scot by birth, for the past several years Jack Haines, Earl of Lambourne has been living the carefree life of a charming London rake…until the day he is accused of taking the Princess of Wales to his bed.  Protesting his innocence but wary of the Prince’s anger, Jack flees London one step ahead of bounty hunters and heads deep into the Highlands.  Thinking he has escaped, Jack is surprised to find himself surrounded by armed Scots and prepares to be escorted back to London to face either prison or the hangman but, instead, is taken north to Castle Beal and a fate that, for a rogue like Jack, is far worse than facing the Prince’s wrath.

Elizabeth “Lizzy” Beal, niece of the…
