I read for different reasons, but when a book makes me think and wonder “what if?” well my imagination takes all kinds of crazy twists and turns. After reading the first four books in Joss Ware’s series the Envy Chronicles my imagination has definitely run way with me. The series is about five men who in 2010 fall asleep for 50 years and awaken to a post-apocalyptic world where NO THING is as it was. They’ve awakened to a world where everything they’ve ever known is gone and find a civilization that is trying to survive and re-invent itself.  And to that I say – when the end of the world comes – please let me die.MORE

When you enter into the world of Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series you enter into a world that is bold and vibrant and that is neither easy nor predictable. This is an exciting series, and the first three books have been wondrous, exhilarating and some of the best story telling I’ve read. With a full, rich and unique mythology, and characters that are well developed, distinct and exceptional, I’m captivated. MORE

Ruthless Game, the ninth book in Christine Feehan’s GhostWalker series, is filled with high octane suspense, friendship, loyalty, and love.  With hostage rescues, drug cartels, a redoubtable and loyal group of fellow GhostWalkers, a courageous and loving hero and a heroine who can shoot an Uzi with the best of them and also happens to be pregnant, well, you have the makings of hold-on-to your seats, exciting romantic suspense. I have to say I don’t usually enjoy books where the heroine is pregnant, but this one broke through all of my prejudices and was one of my favorite books of the series. MORE
