Fall into Television by Marisa O’Neill

For all intents and purposes the summer is over and now we can begin to organize our lives. Some of us are starting school, or our children are going back to school. Some of us may be starting new jobs, or looking for new jobs. Many of us are bringing out our warm sweaters as well as sleeping with extra blankets. A new season means new adventures as well as the commencement of seasonal rituals. One autumn ritual I always observe is checking out what’s new on TV.  As per usual, I’ll be watching ALL the new shows being produced this year. I’m always curious to see what the networks and producers come up with and what they think we’ll like.  To that end I always give each show a once over, sometimes even a second look before I decide how I will spend my valuable viewing time. I only have so many hours in the day – so if I’m going to watch a show it better be worth my time.

Below I’ve listed four new shows that I’m really looking forward to viewing as well as a list of dates when all TV shows will be premiering.

I can’t wait for Castle to return. And I’m still on the Lost countdown although I’m sad it’ll be the final season.

As far as new shows…V and Flashforward did really interest me.

I don’t watch a whole lot of TV, but I love Law & Order: SVU and Lie to Me. I watched the sneak peek of Glee last season and thought it was awesome, so I’m in for that one now, too. Of the others, V looks interesting (and brings back memories of the old one) and also Flash Forward. I’m also looking forward to the new seasons of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

    Thanks for the concise list.

Since I never seem to have enough time to watch TV, I’m very happy that the networks have their shows on line – or there’s always Hulu.

I to will miss Lost. I can’t imagine Thursdays without it. I do seriously hope that the conclusion of it will be worth all the hours I invested into it though, trying to figure it out. I will be watching Flashforward & V, and am sooo looking forward to a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. My husband and I love that show. Larry always says what your thinking, but never have the guts to say out loud.

Glee! I love that show, for me it’s a perfect combination of Grease and Nip/tuck, music, dry wit and political incorrectness that is somehow funny. I’m alo looking forward to V , House,Castle, and Caprica when it comes out in April.and who can forget Lost.

I’m usually much more aware of the Fall season’s new shows but I hadn’t even looked at the schedule yet. Thanks for the line-up, Marisa! :)

Flash Forward looked interesting to me, too. V I want to see, and how it compares to the original TV movie miniseries back in the 80’s, which I watched.

Forgotten and Good Wife I’m anticipating, also.
