Hot For Teacher! by Buffie Johnson

RhysUhlichSeptember has arrived and school is back in session.   This had me thinking back to my own school days, remembering the fun times I had and the teachers who influenced me.    Low and behold, while I was pondering the educators of my past Van Halen’s Hot for Teacher song blares from my radio.   Immediately my mind goes back to 9th grade and Coach Goodman. *sigh*  Man, that science teacher and basketball coach was a cutie.   It sure is hard to concentrate on the exciting subject of earth science while cutie pie is standing in front of me!   So this month’s Hottie of the Month is dedicated to all those hot teachers.

Now, let me introduce you to Rhys Uhlich.  Rhys is a native Australian and a surfer dude.  Last year, Rhys won the Australian reality show contest Make Me A Supermodel.  Earlier this year, he named as a finalist in the 22nd Annual Cleo Bachelor of the Year Award.  When asked during an interview to describe himself in just three words, Rhys responded with “relaxed, humble, and good-humored.”   But prior to becoming a reality show contestant and subsequent winner, the now 27 year old Rhys was an elementary physical education school teacher in Australia.   Can you imagine having HIM has your P.E. teacher?   Sheesh, none of my P.E. teachers ever looked like that!!

So this month my question to you is this . . . do you remember a hot teacher from your school days?  If so, tell me about him.

Buffie – If he were my personal trainer I wouldn’t spend so much time on the couch!

Unfortunately, I never had any hot male teachers. There was the time that our grammar school had a “guest” gym teacher to teach the boys floor hockey. His name was Jim and he was a friend of the monsignor at the church that was connected with the school. To my utter 6th or 7th grader’s delight, I knew him as one of the actors on a soap opera that my mom and I watched religiously.

One day after the girls’ gym class, my friend Jackie and I were putting away the dodgeballs we used in the gym closet. Well, Jim walked past us, did a wink and a smile and went into the boy’s bathroom. If I could have gotten the words out, I would have had a “I carried a watermelon” moment. Instead, I dropped one of the dodgeballs and it bounced its way into the bathroom. Since there was no one I could go in without claiming insanity or having the threat of detention, I did have an “aw crap” moment. Luckily, one of my friends Jason saw the whole thing. He handed me the runaway ball and just grinned evilly. Since he was a friend though, the secret was safe…

I wonder if the years were kind to Jim…

Man, I never had a teacher like that either. Bummer. Probably just as well. I wasn’t very coordinated. But I was a demon at floor hockey. Go figure 🙂

    Marisa — me either!!!!

Dee — you had me LOL out the “I carried a watermelon” comment. I love that scene in Dirty Dancing!! So what soap was this Jim on?

Stacy — my Coach Goodman was the closest thing, but he wasn’t quite as hot as Rhys

I think I would have went out for TRACK, instead of BAND if he was my teacher.

In 1988, when this happened, he was a supporting character on One Life to Live. I remember it was part of the soap within a soap storyline but for the life of me I cannot remember the character’s name. Then in 89 or 90 he started on As the World Turns as Linc Lafferty [if I remember right].

I seem to recall lots of mullets when I was in school, so no one made much of an impression on me.

But Rhys? Wow. I’d skip any class to watch him. ; )

Mr. Maday, my HS freshman year math teacher…sigh. His butt would shake in the sexiest way when he erased the chalkboard. LOL And he’s still there teaching, I checked their website…LOL

In fact, my latest Liza James release is titled HOT FOR TEACHER, which I wrote in honor of Mr. Maday. 😀

I had a History teacher who was also the football coach and fill in physical ed teacher that was so HOT! His name was Mr Johnson, is that appropriate or what? I love my history class and sat up front every day. Every girl that had PE with him wore the shortest shorts and tightest shirts they could find. Not only did he look great, but he also smelled good and a was alway nice. I will never forget Mr. Johnson and I’m sure none of the other girls I went to school with will either.

I had a Physical Education teacher who I was head over heels in love with. I would try so hard to do good in pe and then end up making a fool of myself senior year when I turned eighteen I got the courage to finally tell him about how I used to daydream about him all during class and we ended up dating three years later . one word great-kisser…. i found out he was married later that year.
