Gannon, we can invite Roarke to our dinner party if you let Baxter come along – he’s a character I feel is crying for an In Death book that centers on him. He’s a secondary character I really want to know more about.

Gannon, I know you have been talking about this series since I met you and I have yet to pick it up….maybe I will now. Eve sounds fascinating. Off the top of my head a few of my favorite female characters are Merry Gentry, Claire. I love Laurell K. Hamilton , as you well know, and Merry is great. I would love all of her men and the magic–just not the assaination attempts. I also love Claire–mostly because of Jamie, but I think she is pretty impressive on her own. And lets face it…if I were here I would have Jamie!
Okay off to buy some J.D. Robb books! Great post!

Kati, I agree that the cast of secondary characters are incredible in this series. Or as Mavis would say, “mag”!

Joy, I think Mavis would be an absolutely hilarious dinner guest. You know there would never be a dull moment with her around.

Wendy, I’ve definitely been in reread mode. It’s so much fun rediscovering Eve and Roarke and watching their relationship grow…again.

I enjoy Eve and Roarke so much. I just finished Promises in Death and now I want to go through my books and read them some more. I have those days I would not mind being Eve as well, especially with the Roarke end of things.
