    I Got Lost In Austen

There are so many new books and movies based on Jane Austen and her books. I just finished watching the British TV miniseries Lost in Austen. Have you seen it?  I had the best Sunday afternoon watching all four episodes. Amanda Price, a modern day woman living in England, and a Jane Austen addict,  finds herself inexplicably flung into the past  right into the 19th Century world of Jane Austen’s Bennet family from Pride and Prejudice.  Amanda’s presence seems to muck  up the plot of the much beloved book, creating twists and turns that Jane Austen never wrote.  As her frustrations mount, and romantic entanglements get  ridiculously  confused, Miss Amanda Price does everything in her power to make sure the world Ms. Austen created is kept on track. My suggestion? Go rent it.

Here is a short scene of Ms. Price at Netherfiled Park having dinner with the Bingley’s and Mr. Darcy.

Marisa turned me on to this series – Just up my alley – time travel and Austen – what could be more perfect!

Yeah, this was a fun series. I think it’s a total of six episodes and has a lot of great British tv actors.

I agree, Maria. Time travel and Jane Austen–two of my favorites. I definitely have to watch this.

Gannon and Andrea, I think you’ll really enjoy this one. Rent it on a rainy, cold afternoon when you have some free time (LOL).
