mystery_bookIt’s time for this month’s MYSTERY BOOK contest. The game is very simple. We’ve picked a romance book and you have to guess the title.  Really, it’s quite simple. You ask questions, we answer them, you try to guess the title of the book. The prize: a $10 Amazon Gift Certificate. The game is open to all readers from around the globe.  DO NOT post your answers on the blog – to be eligible all answers must be e-mailed to alphamail@romancenovel.tv with “mysterybook” in the subject line.

THE RULES:
1.    Try to guess which book has been selected as this month’s MYSTERY BOOK  by asking questions that will allow you to piece together the title of the book.

I love it when authors branch out, so I was rather excited to see Leslie Kelly was writing a new romantic suspense series under the name Leslie Parrish. Obviously these were going to be very different books, so it made sense to create a new name and website to suit the mood and feel of the CAT books.

In the first few pages of the story, we see that the killer is just in the middle of his first kill. And we also discover that he has decided to videotape his victim’s final moments. Despite his mostly calm demeanor, this is not a cold, unemotional murder; the killer is remembering cruel taunts and digs he’s suffered, and lashes out against his prey with all the rage and…

kati1I decided to list my favorites too in the hopes that this might inspire a good conversation about what makes a romance your favorite, which genres are you favorites and of course, which books I’m missing or you’ve read that you think should be on the list.

Please note with each genre, I’ve listed only ONE book by each author (even though many of these authors have multiple books on my keeper shelves) and only ONE book in a series. It should also be noted that although these books are numbered, they are not in any particular order and are not ranked in order of my favorites.

Contemporary Romance

kati1We’re picking up with Kati’s favorite Historical Romances.

A few weeks ago, Renee of Renee’s Book Addiction decided to start blogging about romances that had become her favorites as she’s been reading. It’s a well known fact that there’s very little that I enjoy more than making a list. So, I decided to list my favorites too in the hopes that this might inspire a good conversation about what makes a romance your favorite, which genres are you favorites and of course, which books I’m missing or you’ve read that you think should be on the list.
