    Sexy Books?

man_kissing_a_woman1A Marie Claire article states that women want to read about sex. The article then goes on to detail a study of how woman “liked raunchy scenes in novels, and more than half described sex in books as ‘titillating’”. Odd thing is that at the end of the article it states the top 10 books women would take to a desert island, and based on that list below – I don’t see any raunchy sex scenes in the bunch.

1 Bridget Jones’s Diary – Helen Fielding
2 Atonement – Ian McEwan
3 Harry Potter (any book) – J K Rowling
4 The Time Traveler’s Wife – Audrey Niffenegger
5 Murder on the Orient Express – Agatha Christie
6 The Other Boleyn Girl – Philippa Gregory
7 The Life of Pi – Yann Martel
8 Birdsong – Sebastian Faulks
9 Notes on a Scandal – Zoe Heller
10 Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden

Sexy or not – what top ten books would you have to have on a desert island?

Just ten???? Can I take my Palm Pilot and load that up? That has 95 on it already, and only weighs 6 ounces.

    1. Lord of the Rings
    2. Gone with the Wind.
    3. Surrender — Lora Leigh
    4. The Once and Future King – TH White
    5. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes & the Casebook of Sherlock Holmes – Arthur Conan Doyle
    6. The Dune trilogy – Frank Herbert (yeah, I’m cheating, too.)

And it’s taken me thirty minutes to whittle it down to that ten, and that’s with mega-cheating. I’m dying to see everyone else’s list.
