    Monthly Mystery Book Contest!
  • Author: Marisa
  • Published: Jul 15th, 2009

mystery_bookIt’s time for this month’s MYSTERY BOOK contest. The game is very simple. We’ve picked a romance book and you have to guess the title.  Really, it’s quite simple. You ask questions, we answer them, you try to guess the title of the book. The prize: a $10 Amazon Gift Certificate. The game is open to all readers from around the globe.  DO NOT post your answers on the blog – to be eligible all answers must be e-mailed to alphamail@romancenovel.tv with “mysterybook” in the subject line.

THE RULES:
1.    Try to guess which book has been selected as this month’s MYSTERY BOOK  by asking questions that will allow you to piece together the title of the book.
2.    You can ask us anything you’d like; however, we’re allowed to take the 5th on any answer.
3.    You’re limited to two questions per post. But you can post as many times as you want.
4.    No guessing the title on the blog!! Please, Please. Even if you’re positive of the book we’ve selected, don’t post it on the blog. Email all  your answers (and you can guess as many times as you like), this way others can still enjoy the game.
5.    Our Mystery Book will be revealed at 9 p.m. EST.

THE PRIZE:
The first person to guess the correct title (make sure to email your answers) will win a $10 Amazon Gift Certificate.

THE REVEAL:
The reveal will take place in a separate post – so make sure to check the post ABOVE this one at 9 p.m.

THE GAME:

I’ll begin by telling you a little bit about our Mystery Book:
1.    It is a romance.

Let the games begin!

    Contemporary or historical?

    New book or old classic?

I’m neither an historical or purely contemporary – and I’m very young.

    Are you a paranormal?

What are the hero’s and heroine’s professions?

Are you part of a series?

I’m not for the YA crowd – adults would enjoy me far better. My heroine is a professor and my hero is a man who is in charge of everything. I have characters that have been in previous books and will most likely be in future books. And yes, I am a paranormal. Although I do take a bit of offense at that word. After all what is normal?

Is your hero a God? Does he hail from Mt. Olympus?

Lani, my hero is not a God he only acts that way.

I Heart Book Gossip – time is all relative, but I am new to the scene and enjoying the view.

Ok, some of you have sent some great guesses. But alas, so far no correct answers.

    2 HINTS
    1. The heroine of a previous book was the sister of the heroine in my book.
    2. The heroine of my book has had a tragic incident in her past that she is forced to face in this book.

I’m not quite sure about my hero. But my heroine likes to read, take care of her cat and visit with her sister.
