Hi,
Great list, I’m trying to find a book a read a long time ago. I think it was a historical romance.The heroine’s name is “Morning”, she falls in love and gets pregnant. The man refuses to marry her and instead rushes off to war. He returns only to find her with 3 kids( 2 boys and a girl ). He thinks that they’re his brother’s kids. But he finds out that they’re his. She gave birth to triplets. Now he has to convince they of his love and win them over. I can’t seem to remember the name of the book or who wrote it. Can anyone help me?

Hi ! Love your website. ..You might just be the person to help me. I read a wonderful historical romance a few years back. I lost my collection of books in a flood so I have forgotten the name. It is about a lonely french widower who is a painter . One night he goes out into his garden to collect herbs for dinner and finds a pregnant woman unconscoius. She is running from her violent english husband. Eventually he steels her back to England etc etc. Does anyone remember the name of the novel ???????

I’m looking for a book that I read a while back and thought I would never forget the title or author, but alas, I have. It is about a woman who finds herself having to help out her family, so she auctions off herself ( I think she is wearing a red dress). Three friends drift into the room and see that a villain is about to buy her so one of the gentlemen bids for her and wins. She mistakenly thinks one of his friends was the one that actually won and there’s a cute scene in his carriage ride on the way home. Do you or anyone out there know what book that is? Ring any bells? Help!

I love your List and many are in my top ten as well.. But I must say your list is lacking one Great Book.. “The Bronze Horseman” by Paulina Simons. After reading this book I found that nothing compares to it. By far this is the best book I have ever read.

I read a book about 9 years ago I want to read again. I laughed out loud and I can’t remember the name. A young women is thrown overboard by servants, I think. Anyway she ends up someplace full of misfits. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

I love reading from all the authors above. I’m curious though, would you know of a book that was being published this year. I don’t remember the name just that the heroine went by the name Piper and she fell in love with an American Captain. They meet by chance during a fight on a beach, and he kissed her before rowing back to his boat. It was marked for publishing in May of 2009 but I can’t find anything.

I love all of Laura London’s [Tom & Sharon Curtis'] books. Ever since I ran across Love’s a Stage at a bookstore in Washington State many years ago, I sought out to collect all of them. So I agree, I love the books b/c they don’t have to have overly graphic sex scenes, the character, the story and plot are enough to real you in and the romance is just enough to stir your senses. GREAT book choices!

I totally agree with you about TVWLM by JQ. It still remains my favorite, though her newest, WHAT HAPPENS IN LONDON, is now right up there with it. Brilliant.
