Marisa, I agree with you about Nola’s relationship with Marc. She still cared deeply for him and knowing that made it easier to accept her behavior; she wasn’t just casually bed-hopping with these men. She wanted a serious commitment yet was unfortunately put on the clock if she didn’t want to lose her beloved home. Now an enviable situation in some aspects, but in others….

Hmm, I’ve tried Maynard’s work before and it hasn’t work for me. But you know how I love the multiple guys to choose from thing. I might try to pick this one up.

Hey Stacy – I enjoyed reading your take on this book. I read it recently and had a similar reaction to yours. I’m not sure I embraced it as much as you did and in fact I think I’m still mulling over how I feel about it.

One of the things I did like about the book was the relationship between Nola and Marc – I appreciated the fact that they remained friends and still liked each other and wished each other well. This rang true for me.
