Babette Robinson has a rotten track record where commitment is concerned:  relationships, jobs, hair color, you name it.  But she has discovered that she has a real knack for reading people’s body language and helping them with their relationships.  She decides to start a match-mending business in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama and soon becomes known as “The Love Doctor.”  With her business booming, Babette becomes a local celebrity and eventually catches the attention of socialite Kitty Carelle.  Kitty hires the Birmingham “Love Doctor” to repair her broken engagement to Jeff Eubanks, who just happens to be Babette’s ex-lover!

Babette and Jeff’s relationship was heavy on chemistry, but when she couldn’t commit to a long-term, serious relationship, they called it quits.  Now that Kitty has…

There are some authors who are guaranteed to make me shed a tear while reading their emotionally written story and there are some authors who never fail to make me smile and even laugh while reading the witty banter in their delightfully, sexy romp.  Victoria Alexander always delivers on the latter.  With The Virgin’s Secret, Ms. Alexander does just that and begins a new series about an aristocratic family of treasure hunters.

Nathanial Harrington and his brothers, Sterling and Quinton, have longed for adventure from the time they found their great-grandmother’s journal in an old trunk when they were children and discovered that their distant relative had been a smuggler (The Perfect Wife).  Since then, Sterling had become the Earl of Wyldewood…

Nauti Intentions is the 4th book in the Nauti Boy series. I’ve read the previous three, so it was no surprise when I picked this one up and devoured it.  I’m a huge Lora Leigh fan and am amazed at her ability to write so many different series (The Breed Series, Tempting Seals Series, Elite Ops Series, etc.) In all of Miss Leigh’s books you are guaranteed three things.
1.    An extremely testosterone driven alpha male with a capital A.
2.    Some serious sexual and emotional tension between the hero and heroine.
3.    Lots and lots of action and suspense.
4.    Oh, and one more thing, a well written story that keeps you turning the pages.

I must admit that there are many times when a very small part of my…

I’m sitting here shaking my head and trying to figure out how this talented author of seven books and 2007 RITA award winner could have escaped the notice of this self-admitted romantic suspense junkie.  Whatever the reason, after reading Solomon’s upcoming release you can bet I won’t be missing any future books!  ONE DEADLY SIN is a story filled with deadly secrets, snappy dialogue, steamy sex, heart-stopping suspense and enough twists and turns to keep me glued to the edge of my seat and devouring every word of this terrific thriller.

She came at night, creeping into town like a shade.  Darkness suited her.  It evoked the past, that black hole of fury and mystery.  Recapturing it required dark arts…

Hello, Daddy.  She traced the rest of…

It’s been a while since I’ve read a straight Nora Roberts contemporary. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll read anything Nora writes, paranormal, romantic suspense, dinner menu, anything. But I’ve missed her confident touch with straight contemporary romance. I can happily tell you that her new Bride Quartet is straight contemporary and a ton of fun to boot.

The first in the series is Vision in White, which introduces us to photographer Mackensie Elliot, who along with her three best friends have taken their childhood passion for staging weddings and translated it into a successful one stop wedding planning business, Vows. As a child, Mac didn’t really love staging the weddings until her mostly absent father gave her a camera.…

Where are all the time travel romances?  What is the appeal of a Time Travel Romance?  Believe it or not, I think the answer to those two questions are much more linked  than separate.  In fact, when talking to fellow romance readers over the years, it seems that one of the elements that make Time Travel romances so appealing is the fact that they are so hard to find.  But at the same time, they are difficult to put together convincingly because they involve a balance of fact and fiction, of contemporary and ‘other’, and the necessity of a voice that works well describing both.

Many authors try.  Some are unable to convince the audience that the ‘other’ worlds they’ve created are realistic, some bog…
