Getting married  just so you can have sex can leave you questioning your reasons for putting on a white dress, inviting 250 people to a party and having your best friend wear pink – a color she’s not fond of. Finding out your fiancé is marrying you because he wants to get in good with your father and climb the ladder of professional success, well that’s worse.  Solution – run out and leave him standing at the altar.

Tawny Weber’s newest release, Coming On Strong is fun, sexy and exciting. With a blend of quick dialogue and emotion, this book blends romance, sabotage, sex and friendship for a fast paced read. Six years after leaving her fiancé at the alter, Belle Forsham and her partner/best friend Sierra are co-owners of a successful event planning company. Their next event? Planning the opening of her ex-fiancé’s new resort.  Although it has been six years since Belle has seen Mitch Carter, her heart still beats a bit faster just hearing his name. As for Mitch, well he could never understand why the woman he loved left him. He can’t forgive her, and he can’t forget her.  Being together is going to be the hardest thing these two have ever done.

Mitch’s resort opening needs a big splash and something to separate it from the pack. Enter Belle –who plans on making his resort the most talked about place for the rich and famous. To do this she’s suggested that the resort become a place for secret sexy get aways.  A place to have your wildest dreams fulfilled – in private. He’s banking on her being right and despite the steamy sexual tension that exists between them they have to work together, while trying to ignore their past. Can any one say ‘pink elephant’?

I had a lot of fun with this read. Ms. Weber does a great job with the relationships in this book. I particularly liked the relationship between Belle and Sierra. Their friendship was filled with love, camaraderie and the kind of banter that only exists between best friends who know everything about each other and yet still like each other.

Mitch is a wonderful choice of heroes; his pride and ego are balanced with his drive, ambition and love of his big family.  You know these two are destined to be together and you root for their success.

The chemistry between the two is vibrant and sensual, the dialogue quick and witty.
I’m looking forward to reading the next book Going Down Hard, which features Sierra and Mitch’s cousin Reece coming out next month.
