Three reasons why my life is like a paranormal romance…or at least bordering on an urban fantasy by Vivi Anna

vivi_anna_headshot.jpg1. I slay all the big baddies in my house.  Just the other day, I killed the closet monster with the handle of a broom.  I am way skilled with a spatula and a vacuum cleaner.    I also can maim anything with my bare hands.  That spider trying to take over the house, didn’t have a chance with me around.  And don’t even get me started on those dust bunnies living and multiplying under the sofa.  They are tricksome little creatures, but I will find a way to defeat them and save the day.  I may or may not ask my significant other for help.  I would kind of like to do it myself to prove how strong, independent and kick-ass I am.

2. The sun is not my friend.  In fact, I wear sunglasses around in the house because of the UV rays.  They might in fact burn me to ashes in I come in direct contact.  I thrive in the dark.   That is where I can actually be myself.  Shrouded in shadows is where I do my best work.   The night is my friend and I’d never give it up.  Well, for love I might.  But it would have to be really good love, with a lot of hot sex too.   And I mean HOT sex.

3. I believe in fate.  I know that my destiny has been written.  I just have to find the right book, or amulet, or ancient scroll that it’s foretold on.  Then I can go on my quest to save the world.  Which very well may include closing the gate to hell, or another realm.   But anna-mahinas_storm.jpgknowing I have my loyal companions by my side, and the love of my life, I can do anything.  I can kick that Queen of Darkness’s ass any day of the week.

Hi Vivi! I’m with on the sun – I love to feel the warmth of it on a nice Spring day, but I’m afraid my face will now remain in the shade forever. Age has a way of making one a ’shade worshipper’.

I’m with you Vivi — I think. Viggo is not only one fine looking man – he’s a terrific actor.

Hi Vivi – When it comes to being a baddie I excel in the kitchen. I can slice and dice vegetables with inhuman speed.

One of Vivi’s favorite actors is Hugh Jackman. Who doesn’t love Hugh?

Hi Maria – yeah, that’s another reason I wear sunglasses. Wrinkles!

Thanks Barbara. You could help me.

Oh JustJudy, you got that right, Viggo is YUMMY!

HI Destiny, you know that’s one place I don’t excel at. I’m good with a knife, but not for slicing and dicing veggies. The kitchen actually is not my friend. I’ve even burnt hard boiled eggs…not once, not twice, but three times. Who does that????

    Hi Vivi!

My niece thinks I can banish the monsters in her room by making a face at them. I will hold her to that and continue to keep her safe from the monsters in her room. As for the sun, it doesn’t like my skin all the much, but I love being able to enjoy it’s light from somewhere in the shade.

Answer to the question: Matt Damon is one of her favorite actors.

I’m afraid I have given up the dust bunny battle. I have ones that could swallow entire villages. I’m glad you’re still out there fighting the good fight! Someone must carry on.

Vivi’s in the house!! I’m so glad to see you here today Vivi!

Well, don’t get me started on the whole slaying of the big baddies in my house. I fight with them once a week, and sometimes when I’m at my lowest I think they might just defeat me.

As for fate, well, I feel like a write the pages of my destiny everyday – with lots of re-negotiating taking place, often times on an hourly basis.

    Hi Vivi

I really love your books and although I haven’t tried the nocturne bites I just checked them out and I’m going to give them a whirl.

Do you enjoy writing the shorter stories?

As for favorite actors, well we are of like minds when it comes to Matt Damon.

VIVI!!! How are you, my love??? I’ve missed you. I hope all is going well and that your muse is speaking to you while you are slaying closet monsters and wearing your super stylish sunglasses.

    Sending big hugs and smoochies!

    Hey Vivi,

When it comes to being a baddie I’m great in the garden. I love to garden and weeds and critters don’t stand a chance against the MP. That’s what they call me when I’m in gardening mode, the Mighty Paige. I use all my power to make my garden grow. I know its sort of ridiculous and my family laughs at me, but I really believe I can tame nature and make it do my bidding. Every winter I lie in wait, reserving my strength for the battle to come in spring.

And how could Hugh Jackman not be one of your favorite actors? He’s certainly one of mine.

I wish I would be safer when being out in the sun. I know it’s unhealthy to allow so much skin exposure, but I’m such a sun worshipper.

And one of your favorite actors is…..Gerard Butler, who I drool over too.

I’m an old pro at banishing the things that don’t belong in my house. But just recently I’ve decided to hire some one to do that for me. This way I can devote myself to other endeavors that are in need of my super powers.

One of your favorite actors is Gerard Butler, and I commend your taste.

Knowing that you can kick the Queen of Darkness’s ass any day of the week is very empowering. I love that. Courage is certainly a very important component of having paranormal powers. Sometimes I try to channel the kick ass attitude of some of my favorite TV characters, like Starbuck from Battlestar Galatica. Would love to be her for a day.

One of your favorite actors is Russell Crowe.

Thank you Olivia. I do like writing short stories. Its a nice change from writing novels. But I have to say it is just as hard. You still have to have a complete story and a good ending, sometimes that proves difficult in a smaller venue.

*catches kiss from Kati* I’ve missed you. I’m coming over to Michelle’s to play soon.

Paige, I’m useless in the garden. I have a black thumb. I can’t even keep a cactus alive.
