I got a copy of Lora Leigh’s Coyote’s Mate and I’ve been devouring it. So much so that I went back and read Harmony’s Way, Mercury’s War and I’ll be starting Megan’s Mark very soon. I’m having a Lora Leigh Marathon and loving every minute of it. I also started Kylie Brant’s Terms of Engagement – romantic suspense that has me wanting to read more by this author. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to pick up after that. What are you reading?

I just started Kiss of the Demon King by Kresley Cole. In all honesty, I feel like it’s been putting me to sleep. I’m on page 70-something and he’s still chained to the bed. I don’t see this situation changing any time soon.
Buuuuuut, the last book I finished was Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles and it was AWESOME!!! It’s kind of like West Side Story, only with a happy ending. The characters were great, and book had a bunch funny, sweet, and sexy moments. I loved it.

Right now, I’m reading Talk of the Town by Karen Hawkins. I’m enjoying it, but mostly because of the old folks and their interactions with each other, Roxie and Nick. I’m just not “feeling” a whole lot of chemistry between Roxie and Nick and I’m about 300 pages in. Maybe it’s just me.
Next up, is Seduced at Midnight by Jacquie!! I cannot wait to start it!!

I am stuck in the middle of Kiss of the Demon King by Kresley Cole and loving it! Also you may want to keep Sharon Ashwood on your radar. She is a new author with her book Ravenous that comes out in a few weeks.

Mornin’ everyone!
I finished reading Surrender by Pamela Clare, which I enjoyed, although I had issues with the characterization of the Abenaki Indians in the book. And I read Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella. It was a cute and frothy read. I’ve got the recent Lisa Hendrix book (Immortal Warrior(?!) I think it’s called) which my friend Tracy sent me.
I tried to read Ecstasy by Jacqueline Frank and felt that it was all “tell” and no “show.” I got through about the first three chapters before I decided it wasn’t doing it for me. Has anyone else read it? It seems like such a promising premise.
I just finished listening to A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, which was brilliant! Gothic and Victorian and atmospheric. Plus the narrator was wonderful! I’m going to download Rebel Angels, the next in the series right away, I can’t wait to find out what happens next! I tried to start listening to Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen this morning, but I wasn’t in the mood, so I went with Born in Death by JD Robb.

I recently finished The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig. I really like the series and didn’t want the book to end. I’m currently reading Where the Heart Leads by Stephanie Laurens. I like the characters even though the plot doesn’t seem all that believable to me. Next up for me is Dawnkeepers by Jessica Andersen.

This week I’ve read Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons (Lorna Landvik), Touch a Dark Wolf (Jennifer St. Giles), and Warning Signs (CJ Lyons). This morning I started Border Moonlight (Amanda Scott).
Angry Housewives: My book club’s January selection. A good, thought provoking story.
Dark Wolf: I loved the world Jenni created in this first book of her Shadowmen series. I’m waiting on the arrival of Book #2 so I can read that then move on to the arc of her upcoming April release, Kiss of Darkness.
Warning Signs: Another good medical suspense story from Lyons. I’m working on a review of this one.

I’m in the middle of L.L. Foster’s Servant: The Acceptance. I’m also still working on Faith, Reason, and the War Against Jihadism because it’s a really dense book and I like to take breaks after reading a few chapters so I can really let it sink in.

azteclady – those are certainly my go to authors when I’m in a reading slump. I can always re-read their books.
Orannia – I really enjoyed Coyote’s Mate – this whole series has me hooked. There is a lot of ALPHA male with a capital A, but I can’t put them down.
Karin – I haven’t yet read Servant: The Acceptance, but it’s been on my TBR pile for a while.
PJ I’ve really enjoyed Lorna Landvik’s previous books so I’m going to have to get this one.
Kati – I’m going to have to check out A Great and Terrible Beauty – thanks for the recommendation.
