The World is Ending on December 21, 2012
  • Author: Marisa

Dawn Keepers the second book in the Novels of the Final Prophecy deals with seemingly ordinary people discovering they are part of a group of people who have special powers and their mission and destiny is to save the world before it ends on December 21, 2012.

Okay – that’s a heavy load – being tasked with saving the world.  So, if you knew this was the end of the world as we know it, what’s the very last thing you would do or say?

We are giving away a book to one random poster today.

The very last thing would be to get stinkin’ drunk, eat a lot of ice cream, spend time with my family and friends and overall, go out having fun and being happy!

I would want to be with my loved ones, laughing and living until the very end.

I would go shopping and put it all on a credit card, (won’t have to worry about paying it ;) and eat till I get my fill and give love to all love one’s. Lastly I would await to see what new adventure is coming our way. Happy New Year.

How much time are we talking about here? Because if I have just one moment, I want to be with my family and tell them I love them. But if I have like a week, I’m going skydiving, getting a tattoo, and going shopping (I want to be dressed really nicely when the end comes). If I have a month, I’m visiting all the places I’ve really want to go to put haven’t made it to yet: Hawaii, Japan, Egypt, Russia, Mongolia, and Haiti.

Heidenkind – LOL – I think I’m with you – If I had some warning, I’d get a spa day and a new outfit- and then I’d join Wendy and get stinkin’ drunk. Of course I’d want to be with my family – but we’d be eating a lobster dinner with a bottle of chilled white wine. And I think I’d like David Lindenlow and Carlton Cruse’s phone number to find out how LOST ends. Oh, and I’d email Jessica and J.R. to find out how their series ends. Yep – need to know before the ‘lights go out’. Some things are just too important to leave unfinished.

I would try to see my family, but it that’s not possible I would call and tell them that I love them. Then I will get drunk on some really expensive champagne.

Marisa–that’s a great idea about finding out how LOST ends. Hopefully they’ll know. lol

Yep party on with family and friends right on to the end, what else could one do. Or maybe I could find someone who really has a time machine and travel back in time.

Okay – so I’m talking chocolate, wine, lobster, spa treatment, coke, twizzlers, a quick trip to Paris, and a quick trip to the Grand Canyon to be able to look out. I would do this surrounded by my family and all my friends.

    I like katiebabs’ idea :)

And I think I would stalk all my favourite authors and ask them to tell me the ending to their books :)

The very last thing I would do would be to try and hug as many of my family members as I could, if I only had a day. I like heidenkind’s idea of going to the places I haven’t visited but wanted to, such as Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Alaska, if I have longer that.

I would get everyone together for a BBQ in my backyard, sitting on the banana lounger and wearing sunglasses and waiting for the end to come. Preferably holding some fruity cocktail (with an umbrella in it) and some sort of chocolate dessert. Staring out at the sunset (for some reason the end will come when the day is over) and saying something like “yep, I reckon we’ve had a good run.”

    Cheers,
    Lami ;-)

I agree with most of the previous comments. I’d want to be surrounded by my son & grandsons, hugging, and feasting on lobster, caviar, champagne, hot fudge sundaes. But at the same time I’d be burning candles & trying magickal rituals to turn potential tragedy into good!

Hmm… I think I’ve spent so much time trying to figure out how we’re going to stop the world from ending on that day, that I haven’t done a lot of actual ‘what if’ing on this question. I think a long trail ride with the perpetual fiance along a waterway/waterfall, with a hedonistic picnic and some soft blankets. . . really soaking up the good things in life. Unless there’s a last-ditch effort to save the world. Then that’s where I’ll be .

Great answers! Really got me thinking.
