Friday book give away!

It’s a given, I love a good book. Why? Well one reason is because I get to ‘go’ somewhere else for a period of time. Another reason is I get to ‘be’ some one else for a period of time. This gets me to thinking, if you could switch places for 24 hours with some one famous, who would you choose? It could be a fictional or real person.

Warning – an amazing answer might win you a book.

Oh, and stay tuned, at noon Anna Campbell joins us and she’s talking books.

I would love to be Wonder Woman. I would use the Lasso of Truth to get people to confess their sins and crimes. I could also have some fun on my invisible plane and with my bullet proof bracelets.

I’d change places with Hugh Jackman’s wife….for very obvious reasons! LOL! It may be shallow, but this is a fantasy, right?!

I would have to say that I would love to Victoria “Posh” Beckham. I could be skinny, fashionable, and be in bed with David all I want!

In real life, I’d love to switch places with Beyonce. Just to have that voice and some of the clothes.

I guess I’d have to say Cinderella – but only during the 24 hour period after she meets the prince, is living in the castle, has all the food delicacies she can eat without gaining a pound, a masseuse on hand, champagne on ice, dress maker waiting in wings, and the ability to time travel into the future so I’d have cable tv, internet, and a cell phone to call all my friends in the forest and gloat.

Azteclady – I’d be Eve for one day – but it would have to be the day she wasn’t on a murder case – it would have to be the day she’s spending on some tropical island in one of Roarke’s many mansions!

Cyclops – I’d be Wonder Woman – but I’d definitely have to update the wardrobe and hair style.

Gannon – I’d trade with Hugh Jackman’s sister if I could have lunch with him.

Buffie – Posh Spice? Well maybe, I’m not sure I’d be able to hold off eating for 24 hours.

LOL Katiebabs – I don’t think I could be Anita for more than about oh 3 or 4 hours (guess my age is showing)

Kate – Mary, hmm? I think I would pick Beth – I’m always very curious about Wrath and what he’s up to.

Maria – If Cinderella could have cable tv, internet, and a cell phone she’d be Oprah. So think about that…

I would pick Lara Croft. Cool home, money, tons of fun gadgets, great bod, Gerard Butler’s character in the second Tomb Raider movie. sigh….I’m all over that.

Some good choices here, especially Eve Dallas and Lara Croft. I’m thinking I might possibly want to be Alyssa Locke, because not only is she beautiful, she’s also very smart and a damn good agent. I just love a heroine who is strong and capable and can bring the hero to his knees, and I do like Sam Starrett.

Brandy, I wouldn’t have thought of Lara Croft – but I sure could use her kick ass attitude for 24 hours.

Stacy – I too would be Alyssa Locke – however it would have to be AFTER her and Sam go through the whole will they or won’t they phase. I actually like them so much more now that Brockmann has finally let them have their happy ending.

If I could have indoor plumbing, I would choose Queen Elizabeth I of England just so I could say I ruled a country during its golden age. lol

If not, then I guess I would go with Anya from Gena Showalter’s The Darkest Kiss. Who wouldn’t want to be a goddess and get to hang out with the Lords all the time.

Karin – funny you mention Queen Elizabeth, I’ve been watching this PBS special on The Monarchy at work and truth be told, I’m not sure I could be a queen , even for a day. The responsibility would be too much for me. Although… having ‘ladies in waiting’, now that’s not a such a bad idea. Hey Maria – you asked me what I wanted for my birthday – I think I know… a lady in waiting might just be ticket.

Azteclady – JULES CASSIDY – one of my favorite heroes of Brockmann’s. He is all that and more. Stalwart, steady, good looking, smart, calm, yet lives on the edge of danger. Such a terrific combination.

Larua – LOL – Bella is terrific, but between being captured by Mr. O, living the restricted life of the glymera, and having Rehvenge as a brother… it might be just a bit intense for me. But, she does land up with Z, she has that going for her.

These are some good answers! I would be the mother of Christian Bale’s child(ren). Of course, my decision has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that if I was the mother of his child(ren), then I’d be married to him. Nuh-uh. Nope.

Maria – I’m going to take you up on that offer – you of all people know I have laundry that occupies an entire room. Sheesh, I’d rather clean my oven with a toothpick before I’ll do the laundry. Hey maybe I should be Queen of England for a day, I bet she doesn’t have to do laundry.

I bet there’s a lot of things the Queen doesn’t have to do. I’m guessing cleaning her oven, laundry and making dinner for starters. But if you were Elizabeth 1 – you’ve be worried who was trying to kill you next… So I’d go for the modern day Queen, the ones who don’t have to carry cash in their wallets, and are driven everywhere – then I could wear my chauffeur shoes.

Hmm, there are so many choices. In all honesty, if I had to pick one woman, I’d like to be Mary Magdalene. She lived during such an interesting time period and there are so many questions about her. I think it’d be awesome to live in her shoes for a day. Plus, I could sing songs from Jesus Christ, Superstar!

Thanks. If you can believe it, it’s only the second time I have responded on a blog. The contest was fun though, it gave me an opportunity to sit back and think about the possiblities. I love to read romance, and quite honestly, there are a few dozen that I could stand to switch places with for a day. (I swear I love my husband) I also love the writers. They give us that chance to be that leading lady for a few hours, how nice of them.
