Halloween Contest #6 – When Nora Roberts Became Mary Balogh
  • Author: admin
  • Published: Oct 29th, 2008

It’s that time of year when unusual things are known to happen.  All sorts of things can go bump in the night.  That got me to thinking, what if the veil between this world and the other lifted for 24 hours? What if for one day we could all be someone else? If I could be Maria for a day I know I’d have a clean house, 200 pairs of shoes, and be really good at taking care of people.  It also got me to thinking (my mind works in mysterious ways) what would happen if, let’s say Nora Roberts became Mary Balogh for the day. Would her next book be titled Simply Blood?  Would it be about 3 brothers meeting during a house party in Kent? A house party that only takes place every seven years? Would three school teachers from Bath meet them there and discover that the Duke of Layton was really an ancestor who was trying to save the world from an evil so dark that it could destroy the world?

So I leave it to you – imagine the world turned upside down for 24 hours and our favorite authors got to become some one else – what would they write? What would be the title of their next book?   I’m giving you several authors and who they would become for a day, choose one pair and create a title for their new book.  You can enter as many times as you’d like but only one title per post. You have until tonight 11:30 p.m. EST to get your titles in. On Thursday we’ll put up a blog to vote for the best one. We’ll announce the winner on Friday.

Choose or create a pair of authors and come up with a book title.
One title per post, but you can enter as many times as you want.

•    J.R. Ward becomes Lisa Kleypas
•    Meljean Brooks becomes Loretta Chase
•    Sherilyn Kenyon becomes Linda Lael Miller
•    Lori Foster becomes Jodi Thomas
•    OR you create your own pair

I’m so sorry Heidenkind – the first time I read it I added an extra ’s’….I thought it said ‘Dessert Demon’, which led me to thinking of a demon covered in custard…..
