Magnifyingglass Back by popular demand – MYSTERY AUTHOR.

The rules of the game our simple:

1.    You try to guess who our mystery author is by asking  questions that will allow you to piece together her/his identity.
2.    You can ask our Mystery Author anything you’d like; however, the Mystery Author is allowed to take the 5th on any answer.
3.    You’re limited to two questions per post. But you can post as many times as you want.
4.    No guessing the Mystery Author’s identity on the blog!!   Please, Please. Even if you’re positive of the mystery author’s identity, email all identity guesses to mysteryauthor@romancenovel.tv. This way others can still enjoy the game.
5.    Our MA will be revealed at 7 p.m. EST.
6.    The first person to guess the correct identity (make sure to email your answers) will win a $10 Amazon Gift Certificate.
7.    Have fun!

Dear Mystery Author, welcome, and thanks so much for joining us today.  It’s been a while since we’ve had anyone on the island. We’ve done some renovating; how do you like the place?  Are you up to the challenge of stumping our erstwhile detectives? They’ve trained with the best and would do Scotland Yard proud. While you ponder our queries, what can Colin (as in Firth) get you? Trust me when I say you’ll need sustenance to endure our master detectives. What shall it be? Mimosa, martini, perhaps some caviar?

To start things off I’ll tell you one true thing and one false thing about our Dear Mystery Author.

  • As a child, the Mystery Author once appeared on Romper Room.
  • The Mystery Author’s  very first heroine was a murderess with a fondness for chopping off people’s heads.

Let the games begin!

Good morning Dear Mystery Author. I’m so very glad you could join us today. Do you have everything you require? Would you care for a bit of pastry to go with your coffee? Or would you like to top off that mimosa? It is a beautiful day here on Mystery Island; are you enjoying the view? Has Colin seen to all your needs? Please don’t hesitate to ask if there’s something that you need.

    I’m wondering:
    1. If your heroines are more likely to be seen having cocktails during happy hour or would we perhaps see them having afternoon tea?
    2. Would your heroes be more likely to (figuratively speaking) “throw their heroine over their shoulder” or take their hand and ask them for a dance?

Congratulations Mystery Author! Well played. You had us guessing the entire time.

Several detectives at the RNTV agency were super sleuths and they guessed your identity. The first detective to guess your identity was Lori P. Congratulations Lori – you win a 10.00 Amazon gift card. We’ll be e-mailing you your prize.

And now for the unveiling – the woman behind the mask. The one, the only, the fabulous best-selling author….drum roll please

    @ 8:50 pm

You guys are just too clever for me! It was a real challenge because I know some of you are experts in “Teresa Medeiros Trivia”. I didn’t dare mention my cat Buffy the Mouse Slayer or my overweening fondness for kittens, blueberry scones or Russell Crowe 🙂

I can’t wait to see you in Atlanta too, Gannon!

And KarLynP, my sole western was NOBODY’S DARLING, which featured one of my all-time favorite heroes–bounty hunter Billy Darling. Westerns just don’t sell as well as the other sub-genres right now but when I travel, I still get so much positive feedback on that book.

Thank you so much for having me, Marisa and Maria! Romance Novel TV is the place to be! Smoochies to all!!! 🙂
