It’s been an amazing year for us here at Romance Novel TV, and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank the romance community for their generosity of spirit, their support and friendship.
During the year we’ve met some incredible people, talented authors and devoted readers. We’ve traveled across the country filming book signings, covering conferences and interviewing authors. Our very first interview was at a college campus in New York City with author Eloisa James. She agreed to do an interview with us even before we had a home on the net. We invaded the English Department with cameras and lights and set up in a tiny office filled with books and desks and one electrical out let. We were hoping we didn’t blow a fuse and shut down all the computers at the university. We almost set fire to Caridad Pinero’s law office while setting up lights, tried not to destroy Sophia Nash’s home when we re-arranged it and put her living room in her kitchen, almost knocked over an entire wall of books at Nora Roberts’ book signing, traveled to the outskirts of Washington state making Christina Dodd change her clothes three times, melted our camera batteries in Dallas, got lost for hours on our way to Rebecca York’s home, was 3 hours late for an interview with Shirley Hailstock, arrived on Eloisa James’ doorstep a day early, disrupted the editorial department at Penguin and shot at Avon while they were moving – and those are the things I can talk about.
The year has been filled with adventure and romance – lots and lots of romance.
We have many people to thank for helping us out a long the way, for their time, advice, and support – their generosity overwhelms me. Special thanks to Eloisa James, Sophia Nash, Cathy Maxwell, Kathryn Caskie , Nora Roberts, J.R. Ward Caridad Pinero, Anna Campbell, Sarah Wendell, Candy Tan, Jane from Dear Author, Gina Bernal, Mary Castillo and Jenna Petersen. We’d also like to thank all the women on the message board, especially Andrea, Buffie, Mary Kate, Keira, Gannon, P.J. and Terrio and Kim Castillo our production manager– we couldn’t do it with out you.
We’re looking forward to the next year.
