So many books -so little time.  Okay- so how many of you have a TBR list?  I was speaking to Kim last night and I told her I never had a TBR pile.  I was one of the lucky ones.  I had a long commute to work and managed to read 5 or 6 books a week.  Then I started my dream job and with it came my TBR pile.  You know – that stack of books that sits on our night stand, coffee table, or on our desk – they call to you like a lover in the night.  Choose one and there’s instant satisfaction, but the others may feel scorned.  You silently say, don’t worry, I’m getting to you too.

Dreamhunter_2 So I’m still waiting to read Angela Knight’s The Dream-Hunter, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into Catherine Anderson’s Sun Kissed, Karen Marie Moning’s Sun_kissed DarkFever is still waiting for me on my night stand and J.D. Robb’s Innocent in Death is calling my name.  It’s a busy world Darkfever and we’re busy women and without that downtime so we can – as Nora says "Get our reading fix" – the books just pile up.

What’s in your TBR pile?

I loved Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dream Hunter. I just love all her books all due to Hero-Acheron.

My TBR pile has: Antonia Fraser’s-Love & Louis XIV: The Women in the Life of the Sun King, Candace Camp-Dangerous Man, Rosemary Laurey-Midnight Lover, Donna Kauffman-The Great Scot, Dawn Thompson-Blood Moon, Deborah Raleigh-Some Like It Brazen, Lori Wilde-There Goes The Bride, Melanie Jackson-Writ on Water, Dinah McCall-Survivors and Gemma Halliday-Killer In High Heels.

Marisa! LOL. My tbr pile is towering. Everyday I literally feel the weight of it crushing me;)
I’ve still got Motor Mouth by JE, Tongue in Chic by CD, Dream-Hunter by SK, Natural Born Charmer by SEP and Darkfever by KMM.
I still need to buy an Anne Gracie and Loretta Chase. *sigh* Its never ending.

Marisa, welcome to the dark side. I don’t just have a TBR pile or even a TBR shelf. I have a TBR bookcase. So, you should feel good about your pile. ๐Ÿ™‚

ARE YOU KIDDING?…I’m insane! The more I read, the more I buy, the higher the TBR pile gets! Right now, it’s the 3rd and 4th Editions of Jean Stone’s (3 Times a Charm, & 4 Steps to the Altar), was going to read these, but made a “pit-stop” to read Maeve Binchy’s new book Hawthorne Woods (I’ve read EVERYTHING she writes), just finishing reading up 3rd Novel of SUPPOSED TO BE trilogy by Emilie Richards called Lover’s knot (& I found out that there will be more! Yes!); Ravenscar Dynasty by Barbara Taylor Bradford (one of my favorite authors, looks like a new “Dynasty” in the making – remember Emma Harte?), the newest by Barbara Delinski, Sisters by Danielle Steele, Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella (she is so funny because we CAN RELATE!), awaiting (preordered these) 2 books, new ones by Nora Roberts (love her!) & the other by Jennifer Chiaverini (okay stories, don’t think I’ll waste my $’s on anything else by her, last 2 seemed like “fillers”), I’m WAY BEHIND on the Debbie Macombers I want to read – can’t keep up with her & LOVE her Cedar Grove Series, actually LOVE her, ALWAYS a nice lady!…hey, I’ve got boxes of books all over the place! Yikes! (But I love it all!) Wish Rosamunde Pilcher would write 1 more book to continue the story of WINTER SOLSTICE (she’s just the best too),& ALSO HOPE Diana Gabaldon would get BACK to Jamie & Claire, there’s SO MUCH MORE there! Eleanor Fowler’s latest as well as Lillian Jackson Braun, oh and Mary Jo Putney!!! WHEW, that’s just a start…seeing I read 4 or 5 books a week! I love SO MANY MORE authors! & also the Classics! (LOVE THEM ALL!)

I used to have a small TBR pile of half a dozen or so. And then it became a TBR shelf. Now I have an entire shelf and the table that sits next to my desk. There are over 30 on the table alone. I have Medeiros, Feehan, Enoch, Dodd, London, Quinn, Hern, Hunter, Beverly, Putney and Alexander. Those are only the ones I can remember and for most of those there are at least two to five books each. I don’t want to think about all the great books that are coming out in the next few months.
